Email FAQ's, Instructions & Tips (pacificlife.ca)
Every student of PLBC receives a pacificlife.ca email account which students are required to check at least once a week.
Students can access email by logging in at www.pacificlife.edu/thunderstruck.
What's my address?
Your address is your first name's initial and your last name at pacificlife.ca (i.e. John Brown =

What's my login/username?
It is the first part of your email address (i.e. jbrown).
What's my password?
Your temporary password is your student number plus as many "1's" as needed to make six digits (i.e. If your student number is 547 then you temporary password would be 547111). All account holders must change their password the first them they log in. Keep your password confidential.
What does my account include?
Your email account is powered by Google Apps. You can store up to 2GB of email. You also have access to:
* PLBC Portal/Start Page
* Personal / Customized Portal/Start Page
* Customized PLBC Google Talk
* Your own calendar and integrated PLBC calendar
* Blogging capabilities
* Facebook Integration (into your portal)
* Mobile access to your email and Google Talk/Chat
* Study/Practice Room Bookings and more!
What if I already have another email account (i.e. Hotmail)?
If you prefer to use another email account (i.e. Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) then you must:
1) Log into your pacificlife.ca email account.
2) Change your password.
3) Click 'Settings' on the top right.
4) Click the 'Forwarding and POP' tab.
5) Click the option ' Forward a copy of incoming mail..." and fill in your preferred email address. It is important that you change your security/spam settings on your personal account to accept emails from pacificlife.ca and pacificlife.edu.
Why must I check my email at least once a week?
PLBC uses your email account as a communication tool for news, events, corrections, and other content.
