We welcome your application to Pacific Life Bible College. Reading through the following checklist will help you in choosing the correct forms and understanding the required fees for our various programs, and will speed up the admission process.
1. Application Packet (Campus or Distance Education) PLBC will acknowledge your application upon receipt of the Application Packet which includes the following forms and fees for either campus or distance education students.
- Download and complete an Application for Admission (All Students - Core Application Packet) OR complete our Online Application.
- In addition, enclose the following:
- Enclose a non-refundable application fee of $35 CDN for Canadian Students; $40 for U.S. students; and $50 for Counselling & Foreign Students.
- Include a passport size photograph.
- Transcripts: Arrange to have official transcripts from high school and any post-secondary institutions you have attended sent directly to Pacific Life Bible College using our Transcript Request Form. If you are currently in high school, ask your high school office to send an iinterim grade report. Upon completion, an official transcript must be requested. Grade 12 or equivalent (G.E.D.) is required for anyone to earn a degree with PLBC.
- Confidential Personal Reference Form: Fill out the name/address portion of the form and give it to a mature Christian (not a family member or boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse).
- Confidential Pastoral Reference Form: Fill out the name/address portion of the form and give it to your Pastor/Elder/Youth Sponsor (not a family member).
- Music Background Form (for IMM/Music students only)
- Ask your referrer to mail the completed forms directly to PLBC. We recommend that you supply stamped, addressed envelopes for each reference.
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Score: Students for whom English is a foreign language must submit results of the TOEFL test, as administered worldwide by the Educational Testing Service. PLBC requires a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), and 80 (internet-based). PLBC's TOEFL registration number is #9016.
2. Accelerated Programs - Bachelor of Theology Contact the Distance Education Department to inquire about the application requirements for these programs.
- Leader's Track - Advanced leadership development for mature students with extensive ministry experience.
- Degree Upgrade - Integrated undergraduate degree with a concentration of biblical students and specific ministry interests.
3. Institute of Music Ministry Students
- Contact PLBC to set up a musical assessment appointment. Assessments will be held Monday - Thursday the week before the fall semester officially begins. The assessment will help the PLBC music faculty design and organize events and opportunities as well as advise students regarding course selection.
4. Professional Counselling Students (Due before August of Enrolling Year)
- Criminal Record Check that includes a Vulnerable Sector Check (Go to your local police station and request that a criminal record check be sent to:Pacific Life Bible College, c/o Ivone Juell, 15030 - 66A Ave., Surrey, BC V3S 2A5. Must be from within the last year).
- Students must have completed Grade 12 or equivalency, or be of mature student status.
- Students recently graduated from High School will have to complete 2 years of undergraduate studies.
- Students must have completed an accredited college-level English course or do one of the following: 1) Register and complete PLBC's Distance Education (Correspondence) English course; or 2) Challenge PLBC's English course by successfully passing the exam.
- Students must also submit a completed "Counselling Career Aptitude Assessment Form"
- Enclose two passport size photographs
