You will receive a due date letter with your course that indicates the time limit for completion. One credit courses are to be completed in two months and three credit courses in six months. One course extension is permitted when requested and when an extension fee of $15.00 per credit, has been paid. The completion date will be extended for the same number of months (i.e. 2 months for a one credit course, etc.). Courses not completed in the allotted time will be cancelled and an F will be the grade given on your transcript. Students may re-register for failed courses. Required courses must be completed with a 2.0 grade point average.
EXAMS
Exams are sent to the student in a sealed envelope along with the course materials. Students must be under the supervision of an EXAM PROCTOR when writing an exam.
COURSE MARKING
The general procedure is that students are required to complete all the assignments for each particular course and then submit the completed course for marking once everything has been completed. Grading of courses complies with the campus grading system - see catalogue for details. Unless we are otherwise notified, grades and completed course work should be sent through the postal system or via courier at the discretion of the Distance Education Department.
FUTURE DEVELOPMENT
Curriculum development is ongoing with the goal of updating our course selection and providing online accessibility through our “Facebook like” Populi Admin site. There are other exciting possibilities being considered for the latest in distance learning. Stay tuned for developments.
